This workshop is a deep journey into consensuality. Consent is way more than just a method to achieve agreement. Consent is not just about boundaries and desires. It is a culture of appreciation, honest contact, and radical softness. All of us have the power to contribute to such a culture and many of us already do so in various ways.
In sexuality, however, we experience ourselves and others as especially vulnerable and there are several beliefs that hold us back from being our true selves and explore our full potential.
On this weekend we will together dive into the sacred spaces of YES, NO and MAYBE and find out what each of us needs to navigate safely and pleasantly between them.
Along with our journey, we will find more and more ingredients of consensual atmospheres and discover what we can do to nurture a culture of consent and our beautiful selves.
Maybe you have already worked with the **Wheel of Consent** by Dr. Betty Martin. This workshop will deepen your (professional) practice of The Wheel, as well as deepen and broaden your understanding of consent and consensual practices.
For who is this workshop?
Both professionals working with consent (e.g. coaches, therapists and body workers), as well as anyone interested in the use of consent in and outside the bedroom, is welcomed. No prior experience is required. People of all gender, age (though 18+), ethnicity, and sexuality are welcomed in this workshop. You will work with whoever you choose, though we will never select based on gender.
You will work with yourself as well as other people in this workshop. There are no strictly naked or sexual exercises during the workshop, though we will hold a sex-positive space where nudity is allowed.
About Joris Kern:
I am an explorer of the human experience. I have a deep love for human craziness, strength, and vulnerability. I explore feminine and masculine paths and define myself outside the gender binary. I have washed dead people and given birth. Trying to be in authentic contact with self and others is something I practice and teach.
Sexuality is a field that is close to my heart and a very good metaphor for many other fields of life. I give workshops about sexuality and consent since 2010 and I love it.
Inspiration and experience also come from training in Contact Improvisation, Body-Mind-Presence, solution focused work with traumatized clients, alternative medicine and working as a theatre pedagogue, and coaching people with anxiety of exams. A lot of enriching encounters with different people made me the person I am today.

Some practicalities:
This is a non-residential workshop. Tea, coffee, water, and snacks are provided. Lunch is co-created in potluck style (bring & share); utensils are available at the venue.
Both days start at 10.00h (doors open at 9.15h - 9.45h) and end around 18.00h.
The venue is easy to reach with public transport. By car, there's a P+R nearby (6e/day + 5 free public transport tickets that will bring you to the venue in a few minutes).
